Styling shelves is one of the most requested services I get from my clients. There is something so intimidating about those rows of empty shelves that send people into a frenzy. Hopefully these easy tips and tricks will get you excited to tackle those bookcases or built-ins.

Welcome friends! It's week two of our Fall Home Series and this week is all about fall mantles and shelves. I've joined forces with 6 other bloggers to bring you some amazing fall inspiration. :) I love how these ladies all think outside of the box with their designs, one thing they do all have in common is how cozy and welcoming their homes feel. First up is yours truly, I like to keep my mantle pretty simple. I typically add just a few fall elements to my mantle and call it good. You see sometimes less really is more, and in this case I believe it to be true.

I feel like we've gotten an early taste of fall here in Kansas City this year. The weather has been amazing, we are enjoying being able to eat outside every evening and I love a crisp fall morning. I've ordered my first obligatory Pumpkin Spice Latte, baked a peach pie, and fall decor is sprinkled through out our home (and of course football). So all in all I'd say, "It's Fall y'all"! :) Today I'm sharing our Fall Tablescape with you, I absolutely love styling a table! Mostly because I love food but I also love to entertain. There is something about gathering around a table and sharing stories, laughing till it hurts, and usually over eating. :) We always wake up the next day saying, we need to do that more often.

Budget Friendly Laundry Room Makeover

I've been dreaming up this laundry room makeover for months now and we finally got around to it! We didn't want to spend a lot of money on this makeover so I knew we would have to get creative on ways to get the look I wanted for less. Not only was I wanting to brighten up this room and make it feel larger, I also needed it to function better for our family. Here is a quick look at the before pictures of our laundry room.

DIY Fireplace Refresh using Paint

Happy Labor Day weekend my friends! I've been super busy this past week trying to get all my "projects" finished up so we could just spend time relaxing and playing with the kiddos. This fireplace refresh was a quick, easy project that had such a huge payoff. You see this tile surrounding our fireplace has been staring at me and mocking me since the day we moved in. Every time I would walk by it I would cringe. But it just wasn't on on the top of our priorities so I just "lived" with it. Finally I'd had enough, I woke up and decided I was gonna slap some paint on it. I mean what's the worst that could happen? We planned on replacing it at some point anyways so if this was a project fail no harm done. Right?!

Industrial Farmhouse Bar Remodel

I'm so ecstatic to FINALLY be sharing our basement bar remodel with you guys! We totally underestimated the time it would take to complete this project. But adding two kids into the equation will do that. ;) The total project took about 3 months, which when I think about it isn't that long but when you're in the thick of it seems veerrrryyy long. :) I decided to host our neighborhoods annual "Ladies Night" at our house this year and couldn't be more excited to break in the bar. :) It also helped us keep on schedule to get everything finished. We worked so hard on this space and can't wait to make memories this holiday season in our new home with our friends and loved ones.
