One week down, we are cruising right along over here at Casa de Hanson. We tackled painting the walls over the weekend and we are LOVIN the color. I went back and forth between Thunderous by Sherwin Williams and Pewter Green by Sherwin Williams but in the end, Thunderous won! I liked that it was a deeper hue because of the gray tones in it and it actually ended up going greener in our space. I think the Pewter Green would have been too vibrant for me.

So we’ve been in our home about a year and half now. And although we have accomplished a lot, there are several projects sitting at about 80% completion. Our master bathroom is one of those spaces. All the “big stuff” per say is done but it is definitely lacking in the style department. And being an interior decorator you can imagine how this drives me crazy every single time I’m in there. I think we should first take a little walk down memory lane just to see how far we’ve come.

Happy Labor Day weekend my friends! I've been super busy this past week trying to get all my "projects" finished up so we could just spend time relaxing and playing with the kiddos. This fireplace refresh was a quick, easy project that had such a huge payoff. You see this tile surrounding our fireplace has been staring at me and mocking me since the day we moved in. Every time I would walk by it I would cringe. But it just wasn't on on the top of our priorities so I just "lived" with it. Finally I'd had enough, I woke up and decided I was gonna slap some paint on it. I mean what's the worst that could happen? We planned on replacing it at some point anyways so if this was a project fail no harm done. Right?!

I'm so ecstatic to FINALLY be sharing our basement bar remodel with you guys! We totally underestimated the time it would take to complete this project. But adding two kids into the equation will do that. ;) The total project took about 3 months, which when I think about it isn't that long but when you're in the thick of it seems veerrrryyy long. :) I decided to host our neighborhoods annual "Ladies Night" at our house this year and couldn't be more excited to break in the bar. :) It also helped us keep on schedule to get everything finished. We worked so hard on this space and can't wait to make memories this holiday season in our new home with our friends and loved ones.

Well hello there! Sorry I've been MIA for a few weeks, we've been busting our butts trying to get this basement/office remodel done. There is definite progress being made, we now have a new wall up, almost done painting, and the granite guy came today to measure for our bar countertops! (insert excited face emoji) The new wall is now concealing our new office/guest room. We wanted a space that we could both work out of that would be both masculine and feminine at the same time. So I came up with "Industrial Chic", sounds like a compromise to me. :) Truth be told, I like masculine design so I was pretty happy with this plan. Plus it gave me an opportunity to use Navy which I've been really wanting to use somewhere.

Hello there friends! Hope you are all enjoying the weekend so far. We are working on about 15 projects right now all are about 75% finished. Why do I do that??? I'm gonna go ahead and blame it on my self diagnosed A.D.D. Anywho....we have decided to start planning our basement remodel and that includes a fun bar makeover! I'm super stoked about this project and can't wait to start shopping for goodies. :) Here is a pic of what we're working with. Sorry for the poor quality, you get the idea though.
