Can you even believe that it’s that time of year already? I’ve joined some fellow bloggers today to share with you our take on Thanksgiving. It’s my favorite holiday for sure! I love the togetherness, the traditions and especially the food. But truth be told, I’m not a turkey lover and when I host I usually skip the bird all together. We’ve done ham, and even brisket but this year I’m going way off course with a hearty ragu. It’s comfort food at it’s finest.

We are at the halfway point folks! So far so good over here, this makeover is smooth sailing at this point (knock on wood). I was really nervous that one of our dressers would show up damaged this week and we’d be back at square one. But all is good! One piece of hardware was broken but I was planning on replacing the hardware on that dresser anyways so, no biggie.

One week down, we are cruising right along over here at Casa de Hanson. We tackled painting the walls over the weekend and we are LOVIN the color. I went back and forth between Thunderous by Sherwin Williams and Pewter Green by Sherwin Williams but in the end, Thunderous won! I liked that it was a deeper hue because of the gray tones in it and it actually ended up going greener in our space. I think the Pewter Green would have been too vibrant for me.

Nothing beats a good leather chair, am I right?! Leather adds a richness to a space and if properly cared for it just gets better with age. We searched for months for the right chairs for our front sitting room before finding these handsome fellas! I wanted something modern but timeless and these chairs checked all the boxes. I love the brass detail and the leather was soft and broken in like we’ve had them for years.
