Well hopefully the last of your Amazon orders are showing up on the porch this week, and if not you better get to shopping because the countdown is on! Only 4 more sleeps till Christmas!!! :) I wanted to show you guys some simple ways to dress those packages up under the tree this year.
Before I go shopping for wrapping paper I like to get an idea of the color scheme of the room the gifts will be in. I mean these packages will serve as decor for a couple weeks so why not make them pretty right? I always like to pick up a roll of craft paper because it's neutral and easy to dress up with ribbon and floral sprigs. Since we went with a "Rustic Glam" theme in our living room this year I chose some sparkly papers and some more traditional ones like this sheet music paper. They all coordinate well together which is the key to a cohesive look for under your tree.
Next I like to pick up a few different ribbon and string options. I always have this jute twine handy because it's great to use year round. I found this white and gold yarn at Homegoods this year, I loved that it was simple but the gold added a little bling to the packages. I'm always looking for these packs of ribbon like the one in the above picture. I find this particular one at Michaels ever year! They're all neutral and look great on the craft paper.
Now for the cherry on top! I love to buy these floral sprigs at Hobby Lobby and Michaels for 50% off and use them on top of some of our gifts. It's that extra special step that makes all the difference. I reuse a lot of mine year after year. I don't do this on every single gift but just a few here and there really make for a pretty view under your Christmas Tree. :)
Before wrapping I lay them out together to see how they look together. I just like to have a plan before diving in. BUT the beauty of it is... if you planned well when buying your items they should all pair together great! Takes out all the guess work. :)
I wish you all a very Merry Christmas! Happy wrapping and unwrapping! :) Cherish the time with your loved ones and soak in all that makes this season the BEST!
