One week down, we are cruising right along over here at Casa de Hanson. We tackled painting the walls over the weekend and we are LOVIN the color. I went back and forth between Thunderous by Sherwin Williams and Pewter Green by Sherwin Williams but in the end, Thunderous won! I liked that it was a deeper hue because of the gray tones in it and it actually ended up going greener in our space. I think the Pewter Green would have been too vibrant for me.
PAINT PARTY
We had lots of helpers which made this job fun (and maybe a tad stressful). But it feels good to have that checked off the to do list. In other news, some of the room elements started showing up this week. The rug, artwork, bench and bedding are all here. The room is already looking so pretty, I can’t wait to show it to you guys. Here is a little sneak peek.
GOING GREEN
The majestic green I’ve been rambling on about. My husband said it feels like we are staying at a fancy B&B somewhere in Europe. I’ll take it! ;)
ALL THE TEXTURE
Alright we have to talk about this rug for a minute. It’s so dang good guys, like completely blew my expectations out of the water. It plays so nicely with our new leather bench. And of course I couldn't pass up these beautiful velvet pillows, they compliment the green so well.
NEXT STEPS
The rest of the furniture is scheduled to be delivered this Monday. So my homework this week is to go through all my clothes and part with about half of them. I’m on a mission to simplify my wardrobe, and what better time to do that than when I’m cleaning out our old dressers.
Thanks for checking in and following along on this journey with me. Be sure to swing by the One Room Challenge blog to see what the other designers are up to this week. And stay tuned for week 3 (DIY week), we will be talking about our plans for our custom built slider door and how to update an old light fixture.
